inspiration #001 | words

That moment when a certain line you read or hear puts words you knew, but didn’t know how to say into an actualized form. Your hidden tacit language

inside your mind was just spoken,

out loud,

by someone else.

I think the power of words is in their ability to form images and meanings that go beyond that of basic grammar and definitions. Imagery is what makes words come alive. The arrangement of words, crafted by the writer, gives their own thoughts a tangible meaning in text. The true magic is when others relate to that same meaning and create context of their own. That connection is what makes quality writing in whatever form that may be-- poem, novel, song, speech, or screenplay.

Why do certain lines or quotes stand out to you? What makes them meaningful? How can you translate their inspiration into your endeavors: filmmaking, writing or otherwise?
